Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Alprina service operated by M87 LLC. Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of your account and legal action.
1. Authorized Use
Alprina is designed for legitimate security testing and vulnerability assessment. You may only use the Service:
- On systems, networks, and applications you own or have explicit written authorization to test
- For defensive security purposes including vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security auditing
- In compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations
- For authorized Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions and security research with proper authorization
- On your own source code or code you have the legal right to analyze
You must obtain proper authorization before scanning any systems you do not own.
2. Prohibited Activities
You agree NOT to use the Service for any of the following purposes:
Unauthorized Access
- Scanning systems, networks, or applications without explicit authorization
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any computer systems or networks
- Circumventing security measures or authentication mechanisms
- Exploiting vulnerabilities discovered for malicious purposes
Malicious Activities
- Developing, distributing, or facilitating malware, ransomware, or other malicious code
- Conducting or facilitating denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
- Engaging in activities that harm or disrupt our Service or other users
- Mass automated scanning without prior written approval
Illegal Activities
- Violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) or similar laws
- Intellectual property infringement or theft
- Data theft, exfiltration, or unauthorized data collection
- Facilitating or engaging in cybercrime or fraud
- Scanning or targeting critical infrastructure without authorization
Service Abuse
- Sharing your account credentials or API keys
- Reselling or redistributing the Service without authorization
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code
- Circumventing usage limits, billing, or access controls
- Submitting false or misleading information during registration
3. Responsible Disclosure
If you discover vulnerabilities in systems while using our Service:
- Report vulnerabilities responsibly to the affected parties
- Provide reasonable time for remediation before public disclosure
- Do not exploit vulnerabilities for personal gain or malicious purposes
- Follow industry best practices for coordinated vulnerability disclosure
- Comply with any bug bounty program rules if applicable
If you discover vulnerabilities in Alprina itself, please report them to security@alprina.com.
4. Rate Limits and Resource Usage
To ensure fair usage and service availability:
- Respect all published rate limits and usage quotas for your subscription tier
- Do not attempt to circumvent or bypass rate limiting mechanisms
- Avoid excessive API calls or automated scanning that may impact service performance
- Contact us for enterprise arrangements if you require higher limits
- Do not use the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users
5. Data and Privacy
When using the Service, you must:
- Not submit personally identifiable information (PII) unless necessary and authorized
- Comply with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Not use the Service to process or scan regulated data (HIPAA, PCI-DSS) without proper agreements
- Ensure you have rights to scan any code or data you submit
- Not attempt to access or extract data belonging to other users
6. Intellectual Property
You agree to respect intellectual property rights:
- Do not scan or analyze code you do not have rights to access
- Respect copyright, trademark, and patent laws
- Do not use the Service to infringe on third-party intellectual property
- Comply with open-source licenses and attribution requirements
7. Export Control Compliance
You agree to comply with all export control laws and regulations:
- Not use the Service in embargoed countries or with sanctioned entities
- Not use the Service to develop weapons or military applications
- Comply with U.S. export control regulations (EAR, ITAR)
- Ensure your use complies with international trade laws
8. Monitoring and Enforcement
M87 LLC reserves the right to:
- Monitor usage of the Service for compliance with this AUP
- Investigate suspected violations
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy
- Report illegal activities to law enforcement
- Cooperate with law enforcement investigations
- Preserve evidence of violations
9. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations may result in a warning
- Account Suspension: Temporary suspension of access to the Service
- Account Termination: Permanent termination without refund
- Legal Action: Civil or criminal prosecution for serious violations
- Liability: You may be held financially liable for damages caused
We may take action without prior notice if we believe there is imminent risk of harm.
